Good Faith Foundation: Trustee roles
Could you help guide a charity bringing people together for the common good?
The Good Faith Foundation (GFF) is a registered charity that provides the charitable home for a growing family of cross-sector initiatives, giving them the governance, infrastructure and credibility they need to take root and grow. Our hosted projects include Warm Welcome, ChurchWorks and Bristol Thriving Communities, and past projects include Ukraine Welcome Hubs and Your Neighbour. They all share one goal: greater social inclusion for people and communities facing exclusion, disadvantage or division.
We are now thinking about our next chapter, which makes this a great moment to join us. We’re looking for new trustees who share our mission and can bring good judgement and a fresh perspective to the board. We’re recruiting for two roles:
• A Finance Trustee with financial expertise, to help the board think clearly about financial strategy, sustainability and good governance as we grow
• General Trustees, to help guide our work more broadly. We’re particularly interested in people with a governance or legal background, but we’d welcome a conversation with anyone who shares our mission
You don’t need to have been a trustee before, or to have worked in a charity. What you do need is good judgement, an interest in our mission and the time to take part. We’ll support you to get up to speed on how GFF works and on the general duties of a trustee.
Time commitment: Four 2.5 hour board meetings a year, mostly online. Around 2-4 hours between meetings on strategy, reviewing papers and preparing.
There is no deadline for applications. We’re recruiting on a rolling basis. We’d love to hear from you in whichever way suits you best. Contact [email protected].
