John is a Senior Executive and Managing Director level leader with over 30 years’ experience growing advisory and consulting services across the public, charitable and faith sectors. John is a former Partner at McKinsey & Company and was previously a director within NHS England, with national responsibility for staff experience and engagement during the Covid pandemic. He has a strong track record in business development, client leadership, team building and delivery of measurable impact at scale.
John is a values-driven and inclusive leader, trusted by boards, government leaders and charity trustees, with experience convening cross-sector coalitions and translating mission into sustainable organisational growth. He is motivated by the integration of Christian faith, professional excellence and public service to deliver change and improve outcomes and is experienced in working constructively across lines of belief, sector and professional disciplines.
He is a chartered engineer by background and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD).
John Drew is a trustee for the Samaritans and was previously a trustee at the National Churches Trust, where he led on the development of the ‘House of Good’ report.
He lives in Worcester, where he is actively involved in a local church.
