Public affairs, with purpose

Want to understand what’s happening in Parliament? Looking to build relationships with politicians? Have a policy idea you want to take further? Or simply need an extra pair of hands? You don’t have to have it all figured out.

At the Good Faith Partnership, we help organisations turn their expertise, experience and ideas into meaningful engagement with politicians and decision-makers.

We work with charities, NGOs, campaign organisations, grassroots groups, faith-based organisations and others who want to influence policy, build relationships and make their voice heard.

Whether you’re starting from scratch, looking for a fresh approach or just want some help navigating Westminster, the Senedd or Holyrood, we can meet you where you are.

Our work in action

Our work has spanned a wide range of issues, organisations and audiences. We’ve offered advisory services to organisations like CARE, Tearfund and Mission Aviation Fellowship UK, organised receptions and events for the Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace and the ChurchWorks Commission, connected MPs with Warm Welcome Spaces in their constituencies, supported large campaigns with The Climate Coalition and held roundtables on AI ethics with the AI, Faith and Civil Society Commission. We also provide the secretariat for the APPG on Christianity in the Holy Land.

What is public affairs?

Public affairs is about understanding how decisions are made and building the relationships, ideas and opportunities that can help shape them.

Good public affairs starts with understanding what you’re trying to achieve, who needs to hear from you and why they should care. It means knowing when to speak, who to speak to and how to turn a conversation into a lasting relationship.

Our team brings experience from both inside and outside Parliament, with consultants who have worked in the charity sector, in grassroots organisations and with national and international organisations. We have experience working across the UK Parliament, Holyrood and the Senedd, as well as engaging with the UK, Welsh and Scottish Governments.

Starting from scratch or reviewing what you’re already doing? We’ll help you understand where you can make a difference, identify the people you need to reach and develop a practical strategy to get there.

Have an idea for changing policy but aren’t sure how to turn it into an effective ask? We can help develop your thinking through policy workshops, briefings, consultation responses and policy advocacy.

From parliamentary receptions and APPG meetings to roundtables and drop ins, we can help you build relationships and bring the right people together around the right issue, to make sure the conversation continues after the meetings have ended.

Don’t have the time or resources to keep up with Parliament and Government? We can provide affordable monitoring tailored to what actually matters to your organisation, helping you understand what is happening, what it means for you and where there may be opportunities to engage.

Sometimes you simply need someone to be your eyes, ears and voice in Parliament. We can work alongside your existing team or represent your organisation directly, helping you build relationships and make the most of opportunities as they arise.

Why work with us?

Relationships are at the heart of what we do. They define how we’ll work together and how we’ll help you build sustainable, meaningful connections with others.

Our team has experience working with and within Parliament, giving us an understanding of how Westminster works — from MPs and Peers to APPGs, committees and parliamentary processes.

We understand communities

Our work is grounded in the experience of charities, grassroots organisations and community groups. We understand the difference between a policy idea that looks good on paper and something that actually reflects what is happening on the ground.

We understand Government

We have experience engaging with UK, Welsh and Scottish Government, helping organisations navigate departments, priorities and policy processes.

We pride ourselves on honesty

We’ll be ambitious for your organisation, but we’ll also be honest about what we think is realistic. If we see a more effective route to your goal, we’ll tell you. If we don’t think an approach is likely to deliver, we’ll help you find one that will.
